MACDC ANNUAL MEETING AND CONFERENCE

Two hundred and fifty community development leaders and professionals from across the Commonwealth joined us in-person and on Zoom to network, share and reflect on the past year.

Here are some highlights:

CDC Roll Call: Since the beginning of the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis, MACDC members have stepped up and are responding to the crisis in various ways. In this video, they tell us about one thing they have done/are doing to help their communities recover and rebuild from the pandemic. This is a must watch!

Community Development Awards

Yahaira Objio from Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción received the Ricanne Hadrian Award for her outstanding community engagement work.

Joselyn Feliciano of  the Community Economic Development Center; Liam Gude, Board Member of Hilltown CDC; and Miriam Ortiz of Just-A-Start were honored with Rising Star awards.

Spoken Word Performance 
María Luisa Arroyo performed her original poem "Nineteen Months In, Your Actions Fuel Hope & Thriving,"​ dedicated to all CDCs in Massachusetts. Watch the video of the poem.​​​​​​
